Wild Acoustic Music Co located in downtown Evergreen Colorado is, indeed, a very special place. It is more of a “music adventure” than a shop. Our focus is on the music and acoustic instruments usually found in Americana, bluegrass, and folk music, but you will also find acoustic instruments from around the world. Some instruments, such as the Moonshine Ukulele, are designed by me personally and made exclusively for Wild Acoustic.
We represent musical instruments that are handmade by artisans and luthiers such as Carl Gotzmer at June Apple Dulcimers, Dana Ross, and Ray Wood. You will also find some brand name instruments such as Alvarez, Deering, Tycoon Percussion, Schlagwerk, Recording King, Gator Cases, The Loar, Kala Brand Music, and Washburn.
Evergreen Co Music Lessons
We are now offering music lessons in Guitar, Ukulele, Mandolin, finger style Banjo, clawhammer Banjo, Dulcimer, square neck Resonator | Dobro, round neck Resonator | Dobro, Piano, Native American Style Flute, and a very unique approach to Drums & Percussion.
The Wild Acoustic Music Co flagship music store is located in Historic Downtown Evergreen, Colorado. We are near the one and only stoplight, on the second floor above Evergreen Goldsmith. Our building is one of the oldest in Evergreen, built around the year 1873. As you would expect in a circa 1870’s building, it is quite rustic, with the original beadboard still on the walls. The windows were handmade over 100 years ago, and overlook the Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Shop. On occasion there are deer or elk grazing nearby along Bear Creek, which falls and gurgles through town. The doors are unusual sizes and the walls are crooked, but that is what makes it special. You can visit us by coming up the rustic stairs on the side of the building.
