We are a Colorado landscape contractor, specializing in creating unique mountain landscapes that compliment and harmonize with the natural terrain. In addition to our projects in mountain suburban Evergreen area, we specialize in transforming mountain properties in Breckenridge, Grand Lake, Winter Park, and other communities in Summit County and Grand County.

Colorado Nature Design is a custom landscape/design build construction company. ln business since 1990 CND specializes in the “hardscape” aspect of landscape installation. From custom stonework… flagstone and rock walls… to native boulder terracing we value our client’s ideas and opinions in what they are looking for in their future landscape project. For 24 years we have been creating “natural footprints” throughout the region which provides our clients many years of enjoyment and a great investment. Our desire to be the best at what we do… we believe success is paramount to our broad client base. Our attitude is confident and our work ethic is superior in what we do… and how we do it.The process starts with a complimentary job site introduction touring the area and going over those ideas. The next step is the design phase where those ideas are put on paper to help the client visualize the work to be done. It is important for Kenny’s client to feel comfortable with the suggested ideas and the “why.” Budgets are established based on sq. footages/material costs and plant design. Having a budget range is very helpful in the design process so ideas and costs can be marginalized.Combining natural stone and materials with environmentally friendly products and indigenous plantings a pleasing harmonizing setting is created and enjoyed.

Kenny Smith…owner/founder of Colorado Nature Design has always had a practical yet creative eye for his designs. He says there are “focal points” where the dollars spent are most rewarded yet other areas of design should complement those primary “focal points” privacy issues or aesthetic appeal being the primary uses. He listens to the needs and ideas of the client or starts from scratch with professional ideas which the client will enjoy for many years to come. Kenny believes in buying “in state” materials when possible to support the local economy. All plantings from trees to perennials are hand-picked from select local nurseries to ensure quality/color and shape.
