OUR STORY
After 15 years as a Physician Assistant, I was ready to begin a new chapter in my life, this time working for myself. Two great loves in my life, good coffee and the Colorado mountains, led me to establish Petite Maison Café!
My French connection? In 2003, my husband, Scott, showed me a photo of Crolles, France, at the base of the French Alps and told me we had the opportunity to move there. It was so stunning that I enthusiastically said yes, packed up my one-year old son Aidan, and we were on our way. Eight months later Abby was born in nearby Grenoble and our family had the wonderful experience of living and working in another culture.
Scott and I both love a good strong cup of coffee but soon discovered that in France, most cafes had large outdoor areas with beautiful views of the mountains. Far different from the indoor places we had used for studying and socializing in college! Add a bit a cream and sugar and you had amazing French coffee with an inspiring outdoor vista.
We returned to Austin, Texas for my husband’s work, but the pull of Colorado and its amazing mountains was always felt. We were finally able to move back and are delighted to be in the mountains and near family once again. Our drive-thru/walk up café at the Adobe Creek Center in Kittredge is a specially built tiny house. Now you can enjoy drinking great espresso outside while enjoying the picturesque mountains of Colorado. We love sharing our French experience with you!
When we aren’t working, our family loves exercising outside, riding mountain bikes or running the trails with our dogs. We are very active but try not to stay too busy. We sit down as a family most days of the week and regularly enjoy meals with family and friends.
We welcome you, our valued friends and customers, to our Petite Maison Café!
